Enric Fort Ballester is a Valencian-Spanish artist born in 1987. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts San Carlos in Valencia and later at the Hochschule für Bildende Kunst in Braunschweig, Germany. In Enric Fort Ballester’s work, the comparison between systems of capitalism and religion could be seen as a metaphor for the daily activity and performances that shape our lives. By exploring themes such as materiality, consumerism, and the relationship between humans and machines, Ballester seeks to interrogate the underlying systems and structures that shape our society and our daily experiences. In this way, his work could be seen as a kind of performance that seeks to reveal the hidden rituals and structures that govern our lives.
Fort Ballester is based in Hannover, Germany, where he is part of Niki, a collective and artist-run residency program.
